JUNIOR ASSOCIATE POSITION

About the Job

We are seeking a junior associate with 1-4 years of experience in litigation.  Applicants who have experience with servicing public entities, personal injury and discrimination plaintiffs, and/or commercial litigation clients (as plaintiffs or defendants) are preferred.  We seek a candidate licensed in New Jersey (required) and New York (preferred).  Candidate is expected to meet yearly billing and/or realization requirements and have the ability to work independently and remotely, but appear in-person at headquarters, court, depositions, and other locations, as needed.  Candidate must also be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.  This position is full-time starting January 5, 2026, and salary is commensurate with experience.  Candidate will be closely mentored and provided with opportunities to advance career as an attorney and as a member of the firm.  Candidate will receive substantive experience and responsibilities at all levels of litigation.  Candidate must be comfortable interacting with a diverse array of backgrounds, languages, and cultures, including but not limited to individuals of Haitian heritage.  Please send your resume, writing sample, and any additional application materials to WilsonA@AntoineLawFirm.com.

​Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the language of Haitian Creole;

  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel processing programs, including but not limited to use of mail-merge, bookmarks, table of contents, Word table formulas, the ability to edit field codes, and complex Excel formulas for rounding and labeling, and Excel Macros.

  • Admission in both New Jersey and New York.

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, an associate is responsible for drafting discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, second chairing trials and hearings, first chairing any special civil part or pro bono trials or hearings, drafting and arguing motions, communicating directly with counsel, clients, and other third-parties in advancement of litigation matters, managing caseloads and deadlines for cases and internal assignments, and assisting with the formulation of business, litigation, and settlement strategies.  Candidate will have the option of satisfying either a minimum billable hour requirement or a concurrent alternative minimum fee realization requirement.  

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $92,500 – $125,000 based on experience and qualifications;

  • Hybrid Remote schedule (in office and in-person appearances only as necessary for occasional office conferences, occasional management of hard copy files, and case-related appearances);

  • Sufficient CLE opportunities, free or covered to meet minimum CLE requirements;

  • Reimbursement or advancement of litigation expenses, including reasonable travel meals, mileage and transportation costs with prior approval;

  • Advancement or reimbursement of certain bar association dues;

  • Reimbursement or advance of attendance of select events and galas at Firm’s discretion;

  • Merit Bonus available;

  • Origination Bonus available;

  • Clerkship Bonus available.
